Welcome to your Inner journey

the emergence of a holistic consciousness from what lies in our depthsMany people are sensing and joining in a ground swell of energetic movement - toward more conscious, wholistic living.

This way of being in the world requires that an inner journey be made –back to our beginnings, into our depths of being and potential, into the more-than-personal of ourselves and then back into daily life.

It is a journey that develops its own rhythms of inner exploring and outer living, relating to self, to others, to the whole of creation.

It is a journey, a quest that includes many journeys, many questings.
This journey is to one’s unique being, to holding one’s life in one’s own hands, to making adult ethical choices, to standing in one’s own ground of being in the society, history and planetary moment we are in.

The journey moves beyond self-realisation to experiencing the connectedness of all life:
Ellenborough River at the IJC- inner connectedness of mind and heart, soul and body,
- outer connectedness with others, all–creatures and creative spirit,
- connectedness where ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ fall away in the oneness of the web of life.

Patricia supports this invitation towards full conscious living.

Programs

Individual Sessions

The CentreAt times it is most appropriate for persons to work on a one-to-one basis. These ‘sessions’ involve sharing with the facilitator one’s presenting life issue, deciding with the facilitator how best to be present to this issue, being present, and then afterwards taking time to integrate new states of consciousness or learning.

Group Work

When a person is able to work in a group, there are many advantages. Group energy can be very supportive, eg. a person who is reticent may feel the group energy gives them permission to be expressive,
There are important times of group sharing. As each person shares their experience and is responded to by the facilitator, each one can see from a wider perspective.

Specific Group Work

Groups can be age or gender specific, eg Men’s Group, Children’s Group.
Groups can be theme or method specific, eg loss & grief or sandplay.

TERC for Children

koalas are a common sightPatricia works with children, in individual facilitation or group work.
This includes acknowledgment and understanding of stages of growth plus an adaptation of the methodologies used in general TERC practice.

Parent/carer consent, understanding and support is integral to this unfolding life journey of the child.

Patricia co-authored with Mark Pearson two books, Emotional First-Aid for Children and Emotional Release for Children which are now being widely used by counsellors, teachers and parents.

Principles & methodologies

Beautiful changes of the seasonsPrinciples incorporated in all Transpersonal and Emotional Release Counselling include:

- Each person has an inner guidance mechanism that supports healing and growth towards wholeness
- Each person has developed blocks to full health, wholeness, flow of energy.
- The exploration of blocks and the opening to inner guidance is helped especially by the four supports of:
- Breath. A generous flow of breath supports a build up and flow of energy at all levels of body, mind, heart and soul.
- Movement. Physical movement and expression support an embodiment of experiences, emotions and insights.
- Sounding. Sounding supports energetic connection with experiences and the release of held trauma, belief patterns and emotions.
- Witnessing. This function of the mind enables powerful identification with experiences and also to dis-identify from a particular experience.

Emotional Release Counselling uses several methods to support a client to be present to their experiences as fully as possible.
This variety of methods enables clients to work from their strengths, develop new ways of being present to their experiences and integrate.
Some methods have a strong focus on the physical body (eg bioenergetics), some a strong focus on symbol and image (eg sandplay), some a strong focus on accessing deep levels of consciousness (eg Transpersonal Breathwork)

shedding the old skin The main methods used are:

Transpersonal Breathwork, Meditations, Sandplay, Dreamwork, Bioenergetics, dance movement, massage, Voice Dialogue, Reaction and Projection Processing, Hurt Child / adult energy separation, Journalling and Mandala Drawing.
